Certificate II in Security Operations
Course Overview
The Certificate II in Security Operations (CPP20218) contains the NSW Security Licence Course for a Class 1A Security Officer licence. Since 1 June 2023 the 1A Security Officer subclass covers both unarmed guarding and crowd control. Delivered at AGA's Bankstown campus over 10 days, the course covers patrolling premises, responding to incidents, controlling access and crowd behaviour, and first aid (HLTAID011).
In NSW the security regulator is the Security Licensing & Enforcement Directorate (SLED), NSW Police Force, and only a SLED Approved Organisation can deliver the NSW Security Licence Course. AGA is a SLED Approved Organisation (approval 22/061). Before you can enrol, SLED requires you to complete its Pre-Enrolment Assessment. When you finish the course, AGA issues your Statement of Attainment and you apply to SLED for your licence. SLED decides your application.
