Certificate III in Close Protection Operations
Course Overview
The Certificate III in Close Protection Operations (CPP31418) prepares graduates for the specialised role of close protection operative, also known as a bodyguard. It covers planning and implementing close protection, threat assessment, controlling persons using empty hand techniques, and advanced first aid.
In NSW, SLED links CPP31418 to the Class 1B (Bodyguard) subclass, which is added to a Class 1 security licence. SLED sets the licensing criteria for that subclass. The training package itself has no entry requirements.
