Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol
Course Overview
Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol (SITHFAB021) is the RSA unit. In NSW you need an RSA competency card to sell, serve or supply alcohol, or to work as security, in a licensed venue. This includes bar staff, wait staff, bottle shop staff and event staff.
In NSW, RSA training must be delivered by a Liquor & Gaming NSW Approved Training Provider, and Liquor & Gaming NSW issues the NSW RSA competency card, which must be renewed every 5 years. AGA delivers this unit online with a supervised assessment. Other states and territories have their own RSA requirements, so a NSW RSA may not be accepted outside NSW.
